hello all! I just bought a brand new 2015 4x4 TRD Off-Road. This is the first Tacoma I've ever owned. I'm very pleased with it so far. It seems like an awesome truck. Are there any tips or tricks I need to be aware of? Or just anything that's good to know? I've been reading my manual to get more understanding of the truck and I've been reading up online about them for a while. Anyway, thanks in advance and I hope to have some good convo on here

Installed Cooper At/3's (265/70R16) and ProComp 7089 Rims. Tinted front windows. Did the Fog Light Anytime mod. Did the tailgate mod. Added running boards. Adding sound Deadening from RAAMaudio. Replacing stock speakers with Polk Audio DB6501's.
Welcome to TW. Enjoy the truck!

The one thing I found that really helped was to go through the "voice training". The unit responds much better.

Welcome, new tacoma owner here as well.

I was wondering if you have noticed a slight chirp or squeek sound from the truck. I took my truck to the dealer and was told that it was normal for the trd off road, and that it has something to do with the abs system. Congrats on the new truck!

It is an awesome truck, congrats! There are definitely some shortcomings, but I suspect if they are relevant to your use you will naturally discover them as you go along. Bought my 08 new back in it's day, and I am still lovin it!

    Awesome! Thanks everybody!

I have not heard any unusual noises. It's ran great so far. It started raining heavily right when I left the dealership with it. It handled very well. Not slippage or hydroplaning of any kind

Hey welcome it's a great site to join up on

Is that specific to the 2015 models? The voice commands on mine are fairly accurate but it doesn't always get it right. I haven't read through the stereo manual... Mostly because it's the size of a novel lol

Congrats. Enjoy your new truck. I hope you don't have shiny spots on your door panel.
