I was going to stay with 33'' tires for some easy beginner offroading. would I need more? =/

Get a 3" lift. Old Man Emu kit with 887 springs for 3". Go Dakar springs (by Old Man Emu) in the back for 2.75" of rear lift which will still have you a little ass-high (rake). With 3" of lift you will likely need an aftermarket Upper Control Arm or else you won't be able to get a good alignment. Light Racing UCA's are good and well priced (around 400). Check out Wheelers Offroad or Toytec Lifts as they have a huge selection and knowledgeable staff. Tell them your wants and your budget and they'll hook you up.
