Cruise Moab 2015

Went to Moab for the Cruise Moab event last week. I didn't get too many photos this time. Too busy driving and stuff. I went to the first year of this event 18 years ago and have only missed a few of them. It was another great year.

Was a good event this year though smaller than past years. Went to about six of them early on but now was the first time in 8 years, so was fun. Here are a couple more pics from Hells Revenge on Friday and also Proffits Mega Cruisers...

 

Guess I will be doing this trip next year....

 

That tiger striped one is awesome. Built by Jeremiah Proffit on a Mega Cruiser chassis. The olive green (hummer looking one) is a Mega Cruiser. Killer trucks.

 

Good to meet you @Box Rocket I enjoyed chatting with you. Keep me posted if u make it to the high country.

At this point it was 545 and this is the last uphill obstacle. Everything else is dropping back down ledges on gold bar rim.

Yes, I just figured you already had one could have made you a little better deal. I tried trading that equipt guy for one of of his Luna systems. He offered me a tepui bag. Thinking about it now he probably woulda given/sold the plate to you. Lexus tech in camp next to me got it..

That was a great time checking out the trucks and meeting all the people. Especially vendors and people that travel so far. Has there ever been any kind of tacoma showing? I saw your buddy and a few 4runners but that was about it besides some mini trucks. Even though it's kinda LC based certainly welcoming to all Toyota's I saw. It was most fun being on trails runs with people from such different walks of life, look forward to next time.

 

As a TLCA event its definitely more focused on Land Cruisers. You should check out the Rock Therapy event that's happening soon. It is heavily attended by members of this forum so it's almost all Tacomas and 4Runners.

was a good weekend weather wise...i was pre-running kokopelli and saturday was getting toasty...much better than the weather in AZ for OX

Thanks guys! It's been more than a few years since we've attended. It was definitely a blast. We hope to be back next year with our FJ40. It was great to meet some new friends and see all of the different Land Cruisers out there!!
