Okay so I've seen a few people talking about rust issues and protecting their frame and under coating their vehicle. Is this really an issue with these trucks? I got my brand new here in SC and wasn't really thinking this was a problem. Now I'm moving to KS in a few weeks and worried about this and needing to put something on like POR or Fluid Film or something else. Just wanted to get the pros on this and maybe start doing with my 2013. Thanks in advance!

I just did the Krown Rust Protection service in Squamish BC a day before I flew to work for three weeks.

I figure she will be done dripping and stable by the time I return.

I'll get some photos up when I return and probably do an annual update from here on out.

Hmm.. Thanks! Just surprised to this is still an issue. I was hoping a few more people would kick in their experiences with the newer gen 2's. Looks like I'm going to get under my truck much more often now lol. No biggie though all in keeping it going well. Thanks again!

I read on here that they switched frame companies in 09' after having issues. I hope 09 + has no issues. I want to keep my truck for a long time. My dad has my old 99' dodge dakota, and the frame on that is still in good shape. And this is in Ma mind you.

Thanks! Lots of awesome info there!

Update, bought some Fluid Film today. I'm not going to expect this to be a fix, but more hopeful item that can extend the life of my vehicle. I'm even going to use it on my camper too!
