First post, first Tacoma, first Toyota, please bear with me. Phone Contact help

Hi Folks as my heading describes first for me. I'm muddling my way through the owners manual, and I'm trying to get my photos to come up with my contacts when I make a call, and see the photos with the contacts on the home screen. I've made my way through the screen to where it reads something to the effect "show images with contacts", and that box is checked off. I have my favorites loaded but where there should be a photo it just has one of those boxes where it looks like a photo belongs there. I have an Iphone 4s and there are photos with my contacts so I know its on my phone like that. Also I loaded a photo for when the screen comes on, that is working fine. I also loaded a photo for when the screen shuts down, you can see it in the steps for uploading it. When I shut off the truck the screen goes right to black without showing that photo. Am I missing something there? Another biggy, my truck doesn't have GPS, it has a back up camera and weather, but Ireally wish it had GPS. Is there anyway I can get it, maybe sign up for it and pay somebody for it? Thanks in advance guys, be well.

 

I phones don't pull up pics on the systems idk what it is my gf has the same problem on her toyota Carolla but my g5 pulls up pics on it no problem
