Ray when you get the aluminum buffed spray it with a clear enamel so it doesn't oxidize on you. I just finished doing this on the bed rack after buffing everything out from oxidation. It should stay shiny now.

So I'm getting the cage welded together. I still have to add more support mounts for the tire carrier to the frame. It's coming along. It's not easy trying to go long travel when it's a daily driver. Also big thanks to Corey and Dylan at Insain Fab for doing all my bends.

Finally getting the bumper and skid plates painted.

    image.jpg
    image.jpg

I used all of these paints. One heavy coat of encaps, two coats of chassis, two coats of truck bed coating ( thanks gramps) and one coat clear. I think it will hold up. For the skids I used color match and clear coat.

Time to make some noise. Part number 11225 14" Magnaflow. Big thanks to Exhaust Pros in commerce city. They made it so it still dumps over the back of the axle and added new hangers.

I was going go with flowmaster. But I found a thread here somewhere that had a bunch of sound clips of different mufflers and sizes. This is the one I liked the most.
