What's up guys? I'm pretty new around this forum but have had this idea for months and someday willing to do it. I have a 2008 Tacoma 2wd long bead sr5 double cab prerunner with 207k miles and still runs hard. The idea is to engine swap my truck from a VVT-I 4.0 to the Iforce 4.7 v8. After that I was planning on slapping a TRD supercharger on it for some real power with a bunch of other internal mods. What I want to ask my fellow Tacoma brothers, is it possible? Is it a good idea? Do you think it'll be a fast truck after further mods? I'm not to terribly worried about cost, but what do y'all think?2015-03-02_17.37.52.jpg

I really wouldn't be surprised if I needed to upgrade internals on the 4.7. I really don't want to get involved with other smallblocks. I'm asking is it possible to fit the slightly bigger engine in the Tacoma because I don't want to have a brand new I force v8 laying up because it wouldn't fit.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Take a look at that, It was done for SEMA but it 4.7 should fit with out much issue since 2 gen is pretty much 1gen tundra.
