I'm new to wheeling. Looking to lift my rig. I was thinking about the bilstein 5100 lift and rear add a leafs. Can't go crazy yet I'm on a budget. Any input would be great I'm new to this forum. Thanks..

That's a sensible way to go. Suspension parts are wear parts anyway, so if you end up wheeling a lot you can upgrade as parts wear/ break. If you don't outgrow that setup then you didn't waste your money.

That is the set up I had for my first Tacoma. There are a lot of people that run that and love it. Great way to start and easy to upgrade from there.

I just had 5100s with OME 887 coils and an AAL installed and I'm loving it. The kit was around $600 I think. No blocks or spacers at all, great ride, 3 inches of lift. Got it From Headstrong Offroad.

Well you will probably also want to get UCAs. They are recommended for anything above 2.5". Toyota said they had no trouble getting my alignment within specs, and I still have the stock UCAs. the alignment doesn't feel quite right to me, not terrible at all, just not perfect. I am sure this is from the UCAs so I'm just planning on getting some in the near future. Headstrong also sells light racing UCAs for the cheapest I have seen.

    Too few to list.
Your budget pretty much decides what lift you're getting. For the cheapest, I suggest just 5100's at the 1.75" setting and get the TSB leafs done. Going 2.5" with 5100's are stiff. Better if you go with OEM 885 coils, 5100's at zero setting and add a leaf(can be stiff) but much better than stock - You can get away with stock UCA but highly recommend you get the LR's UCA with anything over 2" lift. There's the ironman lift which I believe is a 2" lift as well.

The OME 885 coils will get you 2.5" 887 coils have the same spring rate but will get you closer to 3".
