Hey guys, so today I picked up a set of OME front shocks w OME 880 springs from a guy who had these on a 4runner. They are the 90004 NitroCharger Sport Front Strut which I know is interchangeable w my 02 Taco and his Runner. So I pull my stock strut out, throw this bad boy in there. Finger tighten the top 3 14mm bolts. Go to put the bottom 19mm bolt through the LCA and shock only to find out they don't line up. It's off by maybe 10deg. or so. Im thinking all I need is to compress the springs just enough to relieve the tension and just twist the shock body to face the way I need it without having to take the shock/spring apart. I am correct in this assumption? Also there is no Left/Right with these shocks correct?

Pic: as you see it just needs to turn in a little to fit.

    Fucking look it up
Sounds about right just compress it and turn it with a somewhat longer screw driver it should be fine that's not much to hurt the shock

had the same issue with mine. mount it with the nuts on top, tighten it down, stick a long bar or screw in there and turn it. it wont damage anything.

OK sounds good, I'll give the screw driver method a try first. If that doesn't work I'll go rent a sprint compressor.

As a follow up the method mentioned above worked. I went ahead and bolted the top portion in ad used the biggest screw driver I had to twist the shock to the correct angle. Lift is now installed! Thanks again guys!

Gave me about an inch and half in front. Back is stock. Nice and level! A much firmer more responsive ride too! Promptly did some wheeling after!
