Just signed up to the forum because I have reacquired my old 2000 Tacoma and needed some info but first my story.
In 2000 I was in need of a vehicle so down to the Toyota dealer I go , Bought a white 2000 Tacoma extended cab sr5 2.4L , Job was going great and in 2002 I gave the truck to my dad who has owned it ever since , Well today I gave my dad my 2010 Nissan frontier crew cab and he said I could take back the Tacoma if I wanted it ... Soooo why not ... I use to be into the mini truck thing back in the 70`s & 80`s , Had a 75 Datsun / 76 kingcab / 79 / 86 kingcab v6 then a 86 Mitsubishi but back then it was stink bug style and dropping the front was easy torsion bars or heat coil springs then air shocks in back .. Here is where I need some info , The Tacoma is still flat stock hubcaps and all , I`d like to drop the Tacoma 2" in front 3" rear with shocks but when I checked Belltech for a kit after I hit the sr5 extra cab it says 4wd ? and no kit .. Can I just order a basic Tacoma kit instead ??
Also would a 17 x 7.5 wheel be good ... do you get a +25offset front & + 45 rear on wheel .. Sorry kind of starting over with stuff ..
