    Hey gang!

I've been scouring the forums the last few days and I'm thinking about installing a new HU into my 2011 DC, which currently has the JBL system, and I'm narrowing it down to a Pioneer AVH-4100NEX or Sony XAV-712HD. I'm pretty happy with the speakers, and sub.

I'm basically looking at something akin to Entune with Aftermarket quality. I was just curious if anyone's run into issues, bugs, gremlins, etc... I'd like to keep all the steering wheel controls, keep the Bluetooth calling capabilities (w/voice), but add all the bells and whistles a new HU like those two offers. I have an Android phone (HTC One M8) to pair with it.

If you have any thoughts, recommendations, etc, please share! Thanks!

I just installed a Pioneer AVIC 5100 NEX, and love it so far. If you want to retain the steering wheel controls, you will need to buy an adapter. I bought a Crux SWRTY 61S (non JBL), the 61J is for JBL systems. It also allows you to make almost all the connections to the new stereo without hacking up the factory wiring (There were 2 wires in my '05 that the adapter didn't have, speed sensor (for GPS), and parking brake (for DVD) I have the wire run to the location where the factory wires are if/when I want to tap into them, but I don't really care about the DVD, and the GPS works without the speed sensor).

I go with Pioneer, they seem to be on top of their game this year.

I have the Pioneer AVH-X5500bhs, it has the 7" screen and it sounds awesome with the JBL speakers and amp that came with the truck. I bought it off Amazon for $350 for the HU and paid about $200 to Best Buy for install. Sounds better than any factory stereo does and just as good as my Nephews $3000 system in his Shelby. He was pissed. I am very happy and when I buy the the 2016 I hope I can do the same thing.

Sweet. Thanks guys! I've also been eyeballing any of the new HUs that have Android Auto. Appreciate the help and advice!
