    2007 Tacoma Off-Road 6 Speed Manual
    Remote Mounted Turbo
Hello everyone. HanShot1st here. I have a 2007 Tacoma Off Road with the V6 and a 6 Speed Manual. Had this truck since 13 Miles on the ODO and it is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I constantly push the truck through the paces out in the West Desert of Utah, Moab, the Uintas, and anywhere else I can. In late 2014, I decided that the 230 Hp needed a little more vroom, so I had a remote mounted Turbo installed with a Methane Injection Kit. This turbo increased my Hp approx. 100+Hp with a 5 inch spring. This kit was purchased from STS Turbo (who were a pain in the butt to work with in the first place) and my local shop the Racing Edge installed and tuned my Taco. The Turbo works flawlessly, the Racing Edge did a superb job with the install and the tuning. But the Methane Injection System does not work correctly and STS Turbo asked to have the Injection system returned to them so they can fix the problem. After a month I tried to get in contact with STS about my IS and found out that STS Turbo decided to file for bankruptcy and close shop. My questions to y'all is; Do I need the Methane Injection System? and if so, What do you recommend.
I also have some questions on suspension upgrades for the Off Road. What are thoughts on decent suspension for BAJA style driving? I have the Billstein set up currently. I am not a rock crawler, so I am looking more for something to suck up the high speed bumps.
PS Racing Edge = Awesome Shop. STS Turbo = Awful company
Thank you all and Get Out & Drive!

Yeah you're going to need to keep the "methanol" injection if the rest of your fuel system is stock to keep your AFR in check. Otherwise you're definitely gonna run lean.

Sure. That is a great system. Full of ambient engine heat, which creates deficiencies. I will post pictures to show my system. STS is not the manufacturer of the system, they made the injection system. The remote mounted turbo is awesome.
But I still haven't heard any opinions to upgrade suspension.

Here is some pictures of Rosie.

They probably can. Those trucks are built for that. This truck is an everyday fun truck that I take to work and go play when I can.
Anyway, I am just saying that there are Hp losses with engine bay mounted turbo. They would benefit from a remote mount.
