It's not only intuitive, but, highly subjective - one man's great sounding V-6 exhaust is another man's "ricer". You cannot make a V-6 sound like a V-8 regardless of the combination of exhaust components you install. If you need to change the sound of your V-6 exhaust, you can save yourself a bundle of dough and anguish, if you seek out and personally listen for(not a you tube video) the exhaust note you desire. I cannot personally bring myself to change my stock exhaust, as I don't want the constant reminder of not being able to have a V-8 in my Tacoma and I just can't get the "ricer" image our of my mind.

Both the SVO and the TBird Super Coupe were awesome vehicles, but they were still 4 cylinders. They sounded different because of the turbo and the SVO tuned exhaust. Never saw either with true duals (yes, two tailpipes, totally different) because there was only one bank of cylinders and only one turbo.

But they NEVER sounded close to as good as a tweaked 5.0. Even when they could out run one.

You can only do so much to shape sound waves.

I've got an idea. Record the sound of a nice v8 and hook a play button up to the gas pedal and hook that to a PA system near the exhaust pipes. People would be amazed

If you wanted a grunty grizzly sound, should've bought a early to mid 2000s chevy silverado/tahoe/suburban. otherwise i got a hole-punch and a hammer that could get the job done for ya :p and it doesn't cost any money ;P

I have a 2.5" borla that dumps right behind the axle and a custom y-pipe 2.25" (wraps behind t-case for ground clearance). sounds good when you get on it, no drone even with radio off.
