RCI Metalworks Build Thread

EDIT: Having swapped the 15 for a loaded white 2016, we are continuing where we left off on this one with the new truck!


Never done a build thread, but since we just bought a 2015 Tacoma for R&D and to showcase our products, I figured it was probably time to start one up!

Here is the Tacoma as she stood about a week ago brand new off the lot.
A Super White 2015 TRD off-road.

(This is actually my wife's daily driver so she will be in charge of updating this thread)

 

Now... its only been a week or so since that last pic was taken but a lot is changing on the Taco.

First and foremost, naturally we got right to installing a complete set of RCI skids, including fuel tank, and rock sliders with rear kick-out, all powdercoated dark gray. Didn't install the A-arms yet as those will go on after I get an alignment done.

Where did everybody go?

 

The RCI Tacoma has been in the shop getting a makeover... got a new Toytec BOSS suspension, 285-75-16 Duratrac's, and of course full RCI skids and rock sliders in powder coat gray. Almost trail ready. Now for a bumper or two...

I don't recall seeing bumpers on your website...

 

I'm just going to go ahead and assume my truck was the inspiration for this whole thing....

 

Of course you were Eric! ( at least a little )
And no we don't make bumpers but we are looking to team up with someone who specializes in that, so hopefully we can even stock a few at our shop.

 

Update::: we are working with Demello Offroad and putting a 3 hoop front bumper on the RCI Tacoma, powder coat grey. Posts to come when the bumper arrives. It should make it before Rock Therapy.

**Confession** we need to put an RCI rear diff skid on our Taco still. Our customers beat us to the punch here. We havn't been able to keep these on the shelf and you'll see why between the crazy strength and low price tag! I finally pulled one for our truck which is being powder coated gray to match the rest of the skids. Once installed I'll take some more pics.

Winch
Rear Bumper
Rooftop Tent

What else should we throw on this thing?? What do you think?

Can't wait to get our bumper on there. Has Tiffany given you a ship date yet?

 

Hey Jason, we are super excited as well. Tiffany was saying maybe sometime next week-ish. Any recommendation on winch or light bars for that bumper?

Bumper has arrived! Just in time to get a fresh Powdercoat before Rock Therapy.

Rooftop tent should be coming in the next 2 weeks, we may have some extra to get rid of as well. Josh got excited and bought 5 so we might have to unload. I don't think we can use all 5 at once.

Still to come: light bar, winch, ham (or rocket launcher)

Hey guys! it's Miranda. I felt weird posting on Josh's name about MY truck.. so I made my own!

We have been trying to catch up from our trip to Moab but will post a few pics soon! On a side note-- I totally said I only wanted 33's and then went to Moab and now I want 35's.. Something I am considering but don't want to go through the hassle of gearing..

One thing is for sure an exhaust reroute would be nice!

Your truck is coming along great Miranda. Thanks again to you and Josh for helping me out with my skid/slider order late yesterday afternoon! Yall are awesome, thats a big reason I came back to RCI when i needed new skids. Great product and awesome customer service.
