so i had new nire put on my Pro last sat,, tire shop broke 2 sensors,, got 2 new ones from napa,, after they were installed my tpms light is on,,, the guy tried to reset it with there laptop with there software,, did not work,, told me to come back when there other guy was there cus he knew how to use the equipment better,, havnt been back yet.. the new tires have a lower pressure rating,, will i have to lower the spare tire pressure also before they attempt to reset the tpms , so the light goes out,, these systems are a pain in the ass,,,,,,,,will they be able to fix it without me going to the dealer ,,

Sounds like the tire shops problem so it is on their dime. I wouldn't worry about who fixes it as long as they fix it.

No, you will not need to lower the tire pressure of your spare. Toyota's are a pain to reset the TPMS on! Easiest way is to use a code wiper that plugs into the obd port to wipe the TPMS readings. Then they scan all the sensors starting from the LF (left front) and going around the vehicle clockwise ending at the LR...then they plug their scanner into the obd port and write the ID's and locations to the vehicle. Then it's all done.

I hear the TPMS is no longer on the spares as of a few years ago. Maybe someone that knows for sure can chime in.

Well mine doesn't have one, nor does my neighbors 2014. I can't think of ever having to reset a tacoma with a sensor in the spare.

I know that 2012 and up do not have a sensor in the spare. Why didn't the tire shop replace the TPMS, they broke it?

I misunderstood this part, it sounded like you purchased them from NAPA. I would have thought the tire shop would have them on hand.
