Your truck reminds me of my dog taking a piss. Do you have a lift up front with stock leaf pack in the rear?

Why did you make aluminum brackets after a custom stainless bar?

Did you read some of the reviews/complaints about those easy down struts on this site? Too late to cancel that part of the order?

    Yes.
@neverstuck Thanks for the heads up. I'll "make" it work on my truck if I run into problems on the install. and the reason I'm looking for it is I have a 6 year old daughter who I'm terrified will pop the tailgate and have it come slamming down at full speed on her. This at least slows the descent.

Worst case it's only $36ish. and I really wanted the hood struts. the tailgate thing was admittedly an impulse decision.

That's what I did as well. I think they redesigned it. I couldn't install mime because if a stripped hex bolt, but I mocked it out and don't see any possibility of rubbing. The safety cable doesn't touch the piston while the gate is down, and it seems like when the tailgate is closed, the safety cable would sit right on top of the piston.

Thank you for the interest. I just used what metal is available to me. Once i paint the bracket black, it might look better. Did you have a better suggestion?

Washed my truck so I can get my frame inspected today. My baby is going to the stealership to have them inspect the frame for rust that is in a recall or something for my vin number. Also I have an appointment to talk to the dealership manager to hopefully get them to replace my leaf springs. They are noises and creak like crazy even driving down a dirt road to go fishing with nothing in the back. So wish me luck.

I have a 2005 4x4 access cab and live in dirty salt land Jersey. My frame failed so it's being replaced, but is still drive able.

They probably won't do anything for your leafs. You can add some rubber buffers or similar in between them yourself to stop the noise

I know they probably won't replace them but it's worth complaining about since there is A recall on them. The leafs are bent down like a sad face. Glad they will replace your frame though. So far I love my tacoma but seems like Toyota always has a recall.

Got lucky on one of my tires, has a 1.5" nail going on sideways on an outer treadblock but didn't puncture thankfully.
