Well has been a while since I posted on the forums. I do more lurking than anything. Anyway, Saturday I traded of my 2011 Tacoma standard cab for a new 2015 SR5 4Runner. Took it out for a good drive today. Really like it so far as I should. It is a big upgrade over the Tacoma. Pics of Tacoma and 4Runner below.

Congrats on the new vehicle. I've been flip flopping on these two for a while. right side of the brain says go for the interior of the 4 Runner. Left side looks at that 6 foot trunk and screams Tacoma. Both are winners, enjoy the new ride.

Thanks, I really like it so far. I was tempted by another Tacoma
    but I guess the 4Runner won :)

Thanks greg. Trying to decide on some sort of step tubes. Do not really care for running boards, or possibly sliders even tho I really don't do much in the way of off roading. I had matching painted step tubes on the Tacoma and really like those but there is nothing available right now for the 4Runner in the OEM side. Sooner or later will find something. :)

Good luck with your 4Runner too.

Congrats on the new Ride! I'm considering doing the same thing! My wife and I are expecting our first child and I'm going to have to sell my 2012 Single Cab and thinking about upgrading to a 4Runner. I know it's subjective and tons of variables, but did they give you what you wanted for your Tacoma? I'm thinking of trading it in instead of selling it outright. Far less hassle.

    Hi buffalojay,

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, been away for a while. To answer your question yes they did. Surprisingly the standard cabs seem hold their value pretty well too.
If you havn't done a deal yet and are still thinking about it, good luck. I really like mine so far
I ended up getting a set of GoRhino steptubes off ebay. Things are built very well for $230. Wanted color matched but Toyota does not offer them yet

Thanks Tom I just picked my 4Runner up yesterday! I went with the SR5 4x4 I'm super happy with it. I'm in the market for some steps as I'll take a look at those GoRhino. Also did you put any floor mats in yet? Cant decide between the weather tech or husky. Thoughts?

Awesome buffalojay. I actually have weathertechs in it now but they were the ones I had in the Tacoma. Kind of looking at the Toyota all weather floor mats
for it. Sent you a PM.

Nice. I had a 1998 4Runner I wish I had kept. Was in good shape, 130,000 miles on it when I bought it used.
Only put about $400 into it in the 3 years I had it, always reliable. Anyway, good luck with your 04
