Just finished installing the UL-FOXTA05 Fox Ultimate suspension from Toytec on an 08 Prerunner 4 door.
At $3300 it was not cheap and I was happy after receiving the parts that they too where not "cheap".
It took a little over a day to do front and rear. I was in my driveway with jack stands and floor jack. My biggest fear was dropping the truck off of the jack stands while doing the rear as I had to have both wheels removed at the same time. I kept thinking, how will I get this back up if I drop it?
The video here...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbsTJgb6S_c was a great help, it just about perfectly explained the steps for the front. Kudos
The only two difficulties are getting the loooong bolt out of the UCA shock tower. You really have to bend some metal. I ground the flange off of one side of the bolt in order to facilitate reinstallation. Secondly, I couldn't get the auxiliary reservoirs into the mounts. The stiffness and position of the hoses made mounting impossible, I had to bend the top portion over 90 degrees toward the outside of the truck and they fit fine.
The rear would have been easy but for the fear of dropping the truck. I have descent jack stands but are they descent enough?
I left the front coils set where they where from factory and ended up with about 2.25" lift it was nose up at that point.
After installing all of the leafs in the rear and now it looks just about level maybe a little ass high.
People talk about leaving the stock overload spring out but I think if I remove anything it will be one or two of the smaller leaves. the overload only comes into play when the springs are flexed, removing the other softens the ride.
I drove truck after installing the front and was surprised how smooth the ride was, Nice stuff! After installing the rear I could tell it was stiffer than the original but not too bad. 20150424_171553_resized.jpg

The cost is high but the product appears to be very well made. So worth it? If you just want a lift for looks no, but if you really want to get better off road performance yes. I don't have much experience with this set up yet but the Fox and Total Chaos brands are well known for quality.
One thing to note although the coil-overs are ride height adjustable, Fox recommends using a spring compressor before attempting to. That means removing the coil-over from the vehicle...not something you want to do too often. I have tried to adjust on the truck all weight off and had a hard time turning the ring nut. Gave up and will have to wait till I have time to remove them.
Further more Fox has very little info on there site about the adjustment of the dampers. Strange for this day and age.
But let me say Scott out at Toytec could not be more sincere and helpful BIG THUMBS UP for Toytec and Scott.

Thank you for that info. Did you pick up and road vibrations or any other issues from the lift. Were you able to get your alignment back into spec? Thanks again for the info.

No vibrations, alignment is back into spec. the front feels more nimble but the rear add a spring did make it slightly stiffer. The shocks are adjustable for fast and slow rebound according to what I can glean from the Foxes website and limited literature included with the kit. I have been working a lot lately and haven't had a lot of time behind the wheel to play with adjustments. When I do I'll up date this thread.

Good to know...I have Fox 2.0s in the rear and looking into getting some 2.5 coilovers for the front with some aftermarket ucas (total chaos) but holy crap shipping to Canada is an extra 1000 bucks by itself :(

Looks great, I can't say enough that everyone I know who runs Fox seems to stay happy when they are in the dirt.

Looks good. Looking to do the same lift for my taco but not sure if I want to drop the coin. One question I had was on the adjustable dampening. Can you feel a difference with the different dampening settings?

On the front it is very noticeable feels very...supple, much less harsh than stock suspension. I think though it will take some time to shake things out as I haven't found Fox to be very informative as to the settings. You might find one setting good for one type of driving or conditions and another for something different.
The rear with the extra springs I find it hard to tell the difference on any setting. However I'm not the type to blast over jumps. I'm confident in the product, I think though if you purchase it you have to find out how to use it. Sounds strange but with all the different conditions and driving styles that's the way it is.
I will probably remove one or more of the leaves on the rear when I get the time. I wanted a lift/level look but with the total spring pack in it sits with the same rake as stock just higher.

So after reading your feedback and a bunch of others I placed the order with toyteclifts for the Fox suspension as well. Rear shocks are on back order so I have to wait a few more weeks. On the site it says to remove the factory overload leaf for best ride. Have you thought about that to remove the stiffness your describing?

I will say your rear end does look a little high especially with a cap on. I can see it being a little stiff being that tall and no amount of shock dampening will help a stiff spring. Hopefully removing a leaf will help. I too will probably do this same lift in a couple of months just because I tried piecing something similar together and it ended up being more expensive and that TW discount code helps pay for the shipping.

The overload spring doesn't contact the other spring until they go convex or concave depending on how you look at it. but it does help when you have a load. If I was just going for off road performance I may take it out. Unfortunately this is a daily driver that may get loaded up occasionally. So I feel for me it's best to leave it in and remove one or two of the added pack thus making the ride less harsh at least until I put a load on it.
One thing I'm pondering is, the kit comes with two wedges that helps align the rear end to the half shaft bearing. right now I have no vibration, how much can I drop without removing this wedge.
