going to be towing a car or truck with a uhaul tow dolly. tow dolly with the vehicle will weight anywear from 4500 lb to 6000 lb depending on what I buy. be towing around 1000 miles or more. I have a 2014 prerunner accesscab v-6 auto with tow package. since the tow dolly has no surge brakes, I have talked to uhaul this is what they have said, what can I do to help stop?

No surge brakes??? I thought all Uhaul dollys had them. My personal opinion is not to tow 4600+lbs without brakes of some kind on the trailer/dolly, especially for 1000 miles. I don't feel the Tacoma's brakes are enough to safely stop both the truck and non-self-braking trailer.

Tow dollys often have nobrakes, and 0 tongue weight. During baking is a lot like being rear ended by however much weight you're towing. You need a wider margin than if you're towing a regular trailer with the same weight.
