I don't know how it looks so much better in those renderings than in person. Maybe when we see them on the roads they will become normal looking.

Ill be on a roadshow with the tacoma starting in october. Showcasing the truck at various racetracks around the US.

Our team will be building an off road course, road course and other obstacles to show how seamless the tacoma works in various elements.

Im super pumped and cant wait to start my training! Like I mentioned previously, ill do my best to keep tacoma world up to date.

I assume your new job coincides with the release of the new truck? For everyone waiting I hope Toyota is doing a soft launch with the roadshow beginning after the truck has been released.

How is that bitching? All I am saying is the renderings look better than they look in person. And I am gonna get one. Get off your high horse, just because you shout on these forums doesn't make you cool, man. You are the one freaking out here. Not me.

Funny, bitchin about bitchin in a no bitchin thread...............................that's bitchin! Pics rendering and in person all look the same to me. NO SALE! Not bitchin, just sayin..........and not being instant fanboy doesn't = bitchin. I'll like it later on after it proves itself. I verify THEN trust. Interested to see where the fail points pop up on this one once the "testers" start actually driving them. Y'all get busy on that. Maybe by 2018 or 2020 it will have grown on me, we'll see.

So question.. The video posted of the TRD Sport interior had the sunroof ? I thought that was only going to be available on the Limited ?

When you first open one of the categories (3rd Gen, 2nd Gen, Tacoma vids) on the right hand side you should see a "post new thread" button.

    Click and away you go.

Per the AutoNation Toyota Austin Inventory Manager: "There's no guarantees of ANYTHING until the packages are entered into the ordering system. Up until the moment that dealerships can actually place allocation orders, Toyota confirms nothing."

Pre-production vehicles often don't perfectly mirror their production counterparts. I expect the grills between the Sport and Limited will be swapped, and other minor changes. I suspect the sunroof may be on all but the lowest model.

From the interior shots it looks like they took a lot from the Avalon, a little bit of FJ cruiser in the painted dash and a lot of camry shows with the console design....

Based on the placement of the crawl control design/controls, I bet you cant have both. I wouldn't be surprised with no sunroof option on the off road. I doubt grilles swap, when I was at the auto show the Toyota rep was adamant that was the grille for production and the changes made you wont notice or are hardly noticeable. Im sure people will be swapping trading grilles, which makes limited owners in a good place to make some $$ on top of the grill trade.

OK then. Should my Limited not come with the chrome grill, I will swap with the first 2016 Sport that can find me. Cost will be one bottle of Glenlivet that's old enough to vote.

The limited is a non chrome grill, you should be asking for money to swap, guys with the sport/offroad grills, they are gonna want the limited non chrome and will pay on top for it I bet, sorta like hood scoop/non hood scoop, you will have the upper hand in that trade.

Nah his comment wasn't bitching. If you wanna see bitching you should have seen my replies to certain someone who shall remain nameless. The mods kindly deleted the exchange. In the future I'll straight report any trollish posts here in 3rd gen forum, cliche posts like Lisa Simpson's Malibu Stacy with a new hat reference, as if that's exactly the same thing.

If you (not you Gincoma) don't like or plan to buy the 3rd gen then fine, but if you're going to be a petty little b by bad-mouthing the 3rd gen to the people that are interested in it, then just please GTFO and go back to 1st or 2nd gen forum where you belong.

If you don't like the chrome, there's an easy solution without swapping. It’s called plastidip. I'm sure you have heard of it.

When I eventually get a 3rd gen, that's exactly what I'll do, because I like the grill shape but not the fake chrome. It's easy to do and with no mess when done right, which would last at least 2 to 3 years, and serves as good protection from stone chips and other nasty stuff. Peel it off when you're sick of the color, reapply new coats of any other color. Simple as heck.
