So I bought the truck with a device that I was told by the dealer is a way for them to lock and unlock the truck when I drop it off for service. I thought is might be best if this device was unplugged to avoid someone from the dealer unlocking my truck when its not in for service.

I just unplugged it 2 days ago and WOW I had no idea the truck auto locks the doors when ignition is turned on, has power to the windows after key is removed, and lights the dome light when key is in off position. This whole time the device has been stopping these things from happening.

Now the thing is the horn beeps two times when I go to start the truck and it has become iritating to me. How do I make it stop doing this?

Any help would be great. I am not sure what the device is but it was installed under the steering wheel if that helps.

    Thanks

Sounds like you have an alarm system on the truck.

I'd talk to the dealer and get more details about the system. If they can't tell you anything about it, I'd kick them in the ass and say they're IDIOTS for selling you something they don't know anything about.

Sounds a little fishy to me. I thought that a relay would sht off the power to those things not an alarm. Go to the dealer and see whats up.
