Well I decided I wanted Deck Rails on my new to me 99. So I ordered up a set off Amazon. I ordered the 6.5's but they were too long. So I got the 5.5's. I used a piece of 1" angle steel as a backer to stiffen up the side rails. 10 holes drilled, and 10 screws in with 10 M6/1.0 nuts, and good to go.

I have decided not to put on the 3rd forward rail, as my box has a dent and thefront lip isn't straight enough for it.

It came out great the angle iron stiffens the sides so there is no flex. Getting the nuts on the supplied bolts is a bit tight, but once on they suck down nicely and straighten the side rails.
