Has anyone run into this problem? As I was approaching a stop sign on a bumpy section of road, my ABS kicked in as I applied the brake, the pedal sank down as always, but my boot caught the edge of the accelerator pedal as it sank below it, causing my truck to lurch forward almost into another car. Luckily I knew enough to release the brake and reapply pressure. I didn't even feel the boot catch the accelerator and only figured out what happened way after the situation.

Why would you consider that an ABS hazard?

Are you saying the ABS caused your boot to slip on the pedal? Or was your foot turned too far to the right (instead of being straight up & down)?

I've never felt ABS come activate on washboard roads. The rear end bounces around a bit.....

Because its 'bouncy' at any given second, one tire could be planted on the road while the other is rebounding off a bump. The system might see this wheel as slipping....and apply ABS to it. I'd say..its working as intended.

The problem is that the pedal sinks below the accelerator pedal.
