    out in the woods and swamps of rural central Wisconsin, originally

    the road to my dad's house was actually paved several years after I moved away

    even now, cable isn't a thing there. it doesn't exist.

    as an aside, my dad (now retired) is *pissed*, as the county is trying to charge him $6 a year (not a typo) for garbage pickup he doesn't have. he's fighting the town council on it as we speak
