    Hey guys,

My name is Steve. I just moved from Chicago to Phoenix and recently am getting involved in a lot of Outdoor Programs. I Have a 2003 Jeep Liberty that is lifted, skids, bumpers, winch, custom stuff, etc. But I am really interested in a Tacoma and adding a bed cage and tent on top of that and add things that I could never fit in the back of my Liberty into the bed of the Tacoma. Hope I can learn a lot on here in the next few months. I am still going to keep the Jeep, but I will be making the Tacoma a full trail/overland vehicle eventually. If anyone has any topics they really recommend for possible gremlins with the Tacomas (just things to really look for in used ones before you buy it type stuff)

    Here is the Jeep

Your Jeep looks pretty cool! I have no doubt you will love the Tacoma too. Welcome to the site!

Thanks Man! Yea, I want to keep it for nostalgic reasons (it was my sisters and she is no longer with us), but I want to get a Tacoma and pretty much do the same stuff; Coilovers, new leafs in back with extra load bearing, ARB bumper, sliders, and a bed cage. Then just accessories for overland trips and such. The Jeep just has no room in the back seat for legs, and the truck space is a joke size wise.

Yea, I was from Chicago, so I was with the LOST IL group, great bunch of guys, but I know that its like that everywhere with any 4x4 club, well maybe not JKs lol

Yea, I am excited for a switch. I drove a 4 door short bed with a V6 today and it felt good. I also drove a 07 V8, I might like the extra power. As you know, the KJ was a dog.

07 v8? You mean tundra right? My lifted jeep with OME didn't touch the factory Tacoma travel or ground clearance lifted

    Sorry, 4 runner

Really, the ground clearance is that much better for Tacoma of the OME lift for liberty? Cause I am netting about 3.5 lift now

I was referring to ground clearance of lifted of both. But stock travel is better than ome on the liberty

I am quite interested to see how much I can flex it out before 3 wheeling. especially for overland use
