    Lines up fine. Some of the holes on mine were more like oval slots instead of round holes, so there is a little built in adjustability, allowing you to get it squared up perfectly. Only "issue" I had was that I had to grind down a few plastic nubs on the OEM plastic tailgate cover so as to get it to fit flush on top of the Relentless cover. You don't have to use it, but I wanted to keep it on there.

    I never had an issue with the tailgate bending before but better safe than sorry, and I got the RF cover used for $100.
