So i have searched 3 forums and used google but havent found what im looking for. So i have a 2000 tacoma single cab 5 lug 2.4 4 cyl that i just so happened to put a hole in the gas tank...long story short i hit a road reflector and it put a huge crease in the front of the tank and its now leaking there. Does a tank from a 02 tacoma which is same model 4cyl 5 lug single cab truck have the same fittings on top of the tank. From what im reading is they are different part numbers and i called toyota but indont have the vin from the truck being parted out so he cant verify if they are the same. I dont care if they are different as far as size because im going to relocate the tank and being in california i have to use the stock tank for it to pass emissions so whats the chance some one would know the answer to my question. Are the fittings and plugs on top of the tanks the same?
