need to fix pop-lock topper lock

    I have a Snug-top topper with pop-lock that will not engage. It only pops back out when I try to engage it. This is a new vehicle for me. I have taken it apart,cleaned and lubed it but it still does not lock with or without the key. Any hints here? The mechanism seems so simple....
