Yes I am a 2wd tacoma owner.. that is currently running 37s.
If you're going to hate on it, i don't really care.

I need to know if 4.88 is going to be overkill. I see all these guys are saying that 4.88 is overkill for 35s, but will it be for what I'm running? I'd really love to get the stock ratio feeling back.

And another question of mine is.. when ordering the gears it's going to be for 7.5" correct? They are for a 2012 tacoma TRD sport.

4.88 all the way. Maybe even 5.29 if you do a bunch of slow city.

For non e locker 8.4 ring gear

Here is a gear ratio calculator: http://grimmjeeper.com/gears.html If you know your transmission gear ratios, you can plug them, diff ratio, and tire size into the calculator and figure out your rpm in different gears at different speeds.

I have 4.88's with 37's and it is exactly like stock. The speedo is even accurate within a mph or two.

4.88 with 35s and I like it. It's not overkill.

    Speedo is way off though.
