I have a 2014 DSCB Sport short bed. White.

I want to buy the G4 Elite Fold-a-Cover. Seems to review well here and other places.

I don't want to hear about other covers unless you have supporting arguments.

I want hard top, keep using tie-downs, lockable, easily removable with minor mods, must be foldable.

    Why wouldn't I buy this brand? G4 Elite Fold-a-Cover

    Input please?

Lastly, if fully open will it stay at 85 MPH on the highway do I need to make a simple securing mechanism? Like two easy screw clamps.
EDIT, this last question is answered.

It will stay open (which is flat against top of bed rails) if you snap the three straps included on the cover. It will not block your back window view. Three fourths of the bed will be open. If you decide to completely remove the cover, and replace 4 1/4 inch bolts with thumb screws...you can take it off in seconds.

Buy the cover - Thank me later.

Thanks, didn't know it came with lockdown straps when open. I had heard about the replacing thumb screws. McMaster Carr has some nice options for those.

4 1/4 inch thumb screws. The mounting brackets stay on the truck so you do not have to adjust anything to put it back on. Cover is light enough for 1 guy to handle.

After heavily researching all of the available covers over the last few months, I will be getting the G4 Elite Fold-a-Cover . Install is easy, removal is easy. You can still use your rails.

I think I'm there too. I do use my rails.

Mine is just over 2 years old and it leaks. The rubber seal between the folds sucks. However, it's still the best option for me. Got the fish pole mod done at the front cover and still able to secure the back easily. If water leak is not an issue then go ahead.

Looks good, I will have to research about the fold seals and leaks before committing.
