I have the common problem where my A/C only worked on high and now not at all. As advised on other threads, I replaced the blower motor resistor. That did not fix it so I replaced the connector/wiring harness. Still not working! Could it be the blower motor? I really appreciate any help!

Are you saying you only get cold air if the fan is in the highest speed position or the only fan speed you get is the high fan speed position?

the only fan speed i had was high (4). eventually, i had no speeds and it quit completely.. After i changed the resistor I had all speeds for 1 day. then it worked maybe 1 out of 20 times.

I don't know the age of your truck. Wondering if the blower motor may be worn. When that happens, the blower can sometimes draw too much current and kill the resistor.

You may already have this. If not- it can help with diagnosis:

youtube is full of blower motor videos. Might not hurt to look at some of them for ideas.

dirty squirrel cage or debris past the cabin air filter ? Happened to me twice ... once had a field mice family in there ... Tap the vent blower with a flashlight with fan switch set to high and ignition switch on... If vent blower operates as you turn blower speed down to low then it's your blower

3 screws and an electrical plug and lower it down to check it out

This is my guess. I usually check blowers whenever I have to do resistors. If blower motors start to fail they can pop the resistors as well. I had a friend who didn't listen to me replace 4 resistors in his Dakota before finally replacing the blower with it. No more problems. Should have listen to me the first time :)

This is from a previous post ... Check for debris in your vent blower if you haven't added the screen to the cowl opening above the cabin filter... had a field mouse family in my vent blower soon after I bought my truck. I live out in the woods.

Tapping gently on the vent blower with a mag light would make the vent blower in my truck operate normally until I turned it down to low or off ... Then another tap would get it operating again

Don't leave the fan swith in the one of the 'on' positions without the vent blower operating or you will burn a resistor up

Why not a MagLite ? Most men have a flashlight in their trucks

Are you trying to help or still trying to figure out how a LearJet's pressurization system works ?
