Technical Chat ?? I have this little led light?

2002 Tacoma Technical Chat I have this little led light? just above the heater controls and below the two ctr air outlets. Been running Toys since 87 .but this is newer stuff for me. The day I got the tk that light blinked the whole way home .I remember cause I wasn't used to it and it was driving me nuts. figured it was something with the remote key lock stuff. Well it no longer blinks? So what is it why did it blink and not now? Is it something Im to look into? ~~OBTs

 

Just guessing here, but your truck could have an aftermarket alarm system, and that is the little red LED that blinks when alarmed. There might be a siren under the hood that was disconnected by the previous owner.

 

If I use the key fob to lock it the light blinks, but there's no alarm per say I can cause to activate. the light keeps blinking until I manually lock or unlock the door or used in button on the panel for the door locks . then it goes out, so it's tied in their some how. Little red eye blinking is annoying to me anyhoo. ~OBTs
