I'm looking to buy a truck very soon and I just can't decide which is best one for me. I like the sport package besides the hood scoop. The only off roading I do is during hunting season. Has anyone ever bought the sport and got the hood replaced with a regular hood??

you can trade somebody with a regular hood in a heartbeat. They are pretty sought after on here.

I'm goin to get a white one. What's the differences between the two trucks other than the suspension?

Off Road version has a rear differential locker and ATRAC. ATRAC is a controversial topic on Tacoma World. I like it.

The suspensions are similar, same shock i believe, but the offroad has progressive coils, while the sport has "normal" coils. Off road has rear locker on the 4wd, the sport does not. Both can be had in 2wd versions I believe. Sport has colormatched grille, mirrors and bumper, and hood scoop. OR has chrome grille, black mirrors, and chrome bumper. Both have better seats than the base or SR5, longer thigh support. Sport has 17" wheels, OR has 16". Both are very capable 4wd trucks, the Off road wins though with the locker. You can add a rear (and front if you want) locker to the sport if you ever have the need. You can add a colormatched grille on the OR if you want, like I did.

5100 set to max, pending LSD and TRD CAI
the sport is just a pretty chick with fake boobs... get the off road for save the money and get an SR5 and use the extra funds on after market upgrades.

Thanks guys I think the sport would be my best choice because it'd be easier to get a regular hood than try to get the color matched part for the OR. Only time I'll use 4x4 is for launching my bass boat.

I got my colormatched grille through camelback toyota, a TW vendor. Less than 200 shipped, and sell your old one for $100+/-. Mirrors, yes, but probably too expensive for me to ever bother. I plastidipped my rear bumper black and took care of it that way. See my media for pics of all.

Have you guys had any experience with the "lifetime warranty" dealerships ? The one I have been talking to offers it but there about 1000$ more for their trucks than just other dealerships

Ome, Sqeak free dakars, arms, skids, sliders.
Buy off road buy color matched grill for 200 bucks.

Whole lot better than trading hoods from a different truck and dealing with fitment and other issues.
