Aftermarket heavy duty coils for 5 lugs???

Haha we can revive it, so I just gave up on those coils from a Trd and now have total chaos uca's and sway away coilovers

 

they aren't going to work. 6 lug and 5 lug coilovers are NOT interchangeable. they have different lengths and circumference.

 

I had a complete strut from a 6 lug, I cut the eyelet out and re-welded it to the shock body making it about 2" shorter than stock length. I then started fabricating a new mounting plate for the strut tower/coil bucket because the per runner triangle bolts have a smaller circumference. The only issue I then would have to deal with is making a set of control arms because the way the 5 lug upper arms are designed is to sit below the coil. This would make it contact the pre runner coil.

seriously; there is no need for this. cutting and re-welding the shock body would be extremely dangerous and and unnecessary.

its all up to you, but if you go ahead, the chances of you dying are quite high. IMO.

Sorry I'm new with this thread, I do not know if somebody can help me with my question:
I have a 97 Tacoma 2wd 5 lugs, I put front spacer but is not enough lift to fit my tires (30x10.5x15). I read that the coil springs from Tacoma 4x4, 5 lugs can be fit to get 1-2" more. I will like to know if somebody knows that is true? and what year I need to search those coil springs.

I have a set of front TRD coils no shocks off a 2013 also have a set of bilstien 5100s that will the rear of your truck.
