Anyone running toyo MT. It seems they are very durable and provide great grip, downsides would be weight and rough ride im sure. I usually see them on fullsize trucks. Not sure if its a good fit for our tacos

    Anyone run them?

I have run them on a tundra. Awesome tires. They will throw stuff all over being a mud tire so hard to keep a truck clean, but plenty tough and decent ride

I had them on my '09. Great in mud, tough, lasted a long time, but heavy, sucked in ice, and did I mention heavy? I got 40k miles out of them before I sold my truck and there was plenty of life left. They had a little cupping due to me forgetting to rotate them for awhile, but that was my fault.

Toyo's are great tires. I've never had the MT, but the AT2 is nice, I have them on my truck. 65,000 mile warranty. Toyo also has a new RT that is less aggressive than MT's and supposedly pretty quiet on the road.

so I only got 45k... but that was my fault I had an upper ball joint go bad and I didn't catch it fast enough so the front prematurely wore out. I would say I could get 50ish plus out of a set. Check tires direct.net for good prices. if you run a lot of gravel roads they tend to wear faster too. But I have run Toyos for years because they survive yucca and cactus and I have taken my trucks places my Nittos would never let me dream of going.

I think you can get 40-45k out of them as long as you stay on top of rotating them. They are one of the heavier tires out there, but they're tough. With some age and miles, they do get pretty loud and so you'll need to get used to the hum.

Handling wise, I feel like the GY MTR do a better job and have better road manners.

You can get 45k miles probably if you rotate them. I love mine but they are getting louder as they wear down.. I've had 3 screws in one tire and still holds air perfectly fine.
