Will Toytec BOSS coilovers work with Fabtech 6" lift

Hey guys, sorta new to the forum but been reading the post for a year or so now. I have a 2014 Tacoma 4wd with 3" Toytec Boss lift, I'm wanting to go with a Fabtech 6" but I don't want to go the spacer route...Question is can I remove the top spacer from my Toytec coil overs, set them back down to the correct height comparable to the coil overs for a 6" lift, then use what I already have in conjunction with the 6"??? Yeah I know it's confusing...

If you call Toytec they will tell you not to mix lifts like this but I don't see what it would hurt myself.
