Anytime you use a steel screw in aluminum you should use some form of anti seize, I use copper grease and my bolts spin out like butter

I definitely should have used something to prevent the galvanic corrosion. I guess I was naive in thinking that the paint on the threads would be enough. The new hardware is coated much nicer and is supposed to be corrosion resistant. I'll look into using something this time around. Thanks.

Hey can anybody answer this question? The HD bars are already black in color correct? So if I only paid for the side rails and deflector to be powder coated it would look uniform? Thanks!

The HD crossbars are black anodized and the side rails and deflector are powder coated black. So they look different, the texture is different. They do look awesome when put together. You can always have them powder coated locally with any color of your choosing. Here's a picture to show you. Zach, correct me if I'm wrong.......

That is awesome. I am not too concerned about the mismatch as long as they are black. Most of the time they will be hauling stuff anyway. I just wanted it to somewhat match! Thanks! I'll be ordering soon!

That is correct. I actually don't recommend coating the crossbars with any type of heavy coating like powder, bedliner, line-x, etc. The anodization is perfect because it does a nice durable uniform finish that doesn't mess with the function of the crossbars. When I powdercoated them I often had to redo them because it is hard to get and even finish inside the slots without making the slots too tight for hardware.

I now do anodizing on the bars, and textured powdercoating on the plate parts. I can do satin black as well but the textured hides scratches and dings better after use whereas the first time you scrape the side of the satin it is there and easy to see.

Textured would match both of my bumpers and my soon to be installed sliders! Perfect. You'll be hearing from me by the end of the month when I get paid!

Yes I can ship to Canada and prices are in USD. Shipping to Canada is going to range from $95-$150 depending on how far north you are.

Anyone heard of this product? Looks pretty slick and the non-T-slot mounts would work perfect with our racks.

Figure this would be appropriate to share on Flag Day. Bolts right into the crossbar track.

I pulled it from the truck to make some changes (vertical, better welds, and add a set screw), so here's a picture of it on the bench.
