I've read a bit about removing bird poop from a vehicle, but has anyone heard of using club soda in lieu of auto detailing sprays? This would be for basic removal, not repairing poop that's begun to damage or eat through the clear coat.

I really just need the solution that removes it without damaging the clear coat. A Tacoma mechanic told me he uses Simple Green, and though all natural, I'm not sure if it has ingredients that would damage the clear coat.

If your paint has wax protecting the clear coat, bird poop can easily be removed using any method you've suggested without damaging the clear coat.
