Interested in buying a taco without a/c, curious how viable it is to drop it in?

Sorry, but that is all wrong info. On the first gen-preface lift's they only made one wiring harness. All the wires for Ac will be there. All the tabs for anything Ac related under the dash will also be there. I have swapped AC into a 96 Taco and into pickup trucks. So I'm speaking from experience.

Hah. Where I live, the temp is usually 90-110 during summer with no clouds in sight. Back in high school, my compressor was broken for a couple months during summer and that wasn't a good time.

Attached! Loving it so far, already bought some weathertech mats on Amazon, lol.

This is the impression I had. I couldn't dig up a whole lot of info, but I saw some threads in other yota forums from ~2003 talking about how they were able to buy kits off of eBay and just get the parts and install it in less than a couple of hours. It's been a long time since then but I was feeling like it was pretty plug and play.

yes you can, but trying to do it with oem stock parts and equipt is something far different.

there are aftermarket kits available to add a/c to any vehicle you want
