So I have done suspension and body work to get my 2009 Taco where I want it looks wise and it's all functional but I had to be a tard and throw on some 35" tires on it recently. I have a Doug Thorley header and k&n intake but I need some serious power. I need your advice guys, engine and tranny swap or supercharge the weak 2.7L 4 cylinder engine? And if your answer is a swap can you give specs on what and how please? Thanks20150421_124540.jpg

RogueTRD I've looked at the URD setup w/ supercharger and it seems legit. What gears should I run?

Wouldn't bother with a turbo or charged 2.7.

I think I'm going to get a chevy 350 and drop in it. As well as a new or rebuilt tranny. I've found it would be easier to work on and cheaper to do. I have a few good mechanic friends

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
About the only way you can do this for cheap is a URD supercharger. Unless you have deep pockets, an engine swap is going to cost you a shiny penny or two to get done. 4.0 V6 is a nice upgrade, but if you want mad power, take a 5.7 iForce V8 from a Tundra and drop it in that bitch. You'd need a wheelie bar after that! Haha

Sorry, can't help on building or swapping any of those. Never seen it done on a second gen. I've seen 4.7 iForce V8's put in first gens though.
