I sold my 2008 Black DC TRD Prerunner a year ago but I'm thinking about getting another one. I normally buy a few years old after someone else has taken the brunt of the depreciation hit. Saw this new 2015 today at a local Toyota Dealer and it remind me of my old one a bit except it's 4x4 which I'd want this time. Can I get some opinions if you think price is high or fair?

Seems way overpriced. Basically looks like a TRD OR with "fancy wheels"

Those are just n-fab step bars. I have the same ones. They aren't worth as much as that dealer says most likely.

Gotcha. OP, in a nutshell, if that's the look your going for, you could probably buy an SR5 4x4 and mod it for around $34k and you'd end up with the same thing (less the Sport seats).

I bought a brand new one just like it (TRD OR, tow pkg, Entune) but WITHOUT the lift, nerf bars, wheels, tires, and fender flares for $31,185 and taxes and fees. They're charging you $10k give or take for all that. 6" lift and that size tire pkg is too much for stock gearing IMHO. I'm assuming lift is dealer installed. What happens if you use another dealer (who doesn't install lifts at dealership) or this one goes out of business? What is your warranty position with Toyota?

I'd NEVER buy a lifted truck, especially paying retail plus for all of the items. You're way better off doing the mods yourself, one at the time. That way you know HOW it gets done, and YOU pick what components are used, etc. Why finance accessories as well? Will finance company finance above regular price or do you have to have $10k down payment?

If you make up your mind to do this (and I've noticed most people who post questions like this have their mind made up, and are looking for validation for something they're about to do or have ALREADY DONE), I'd AT LEAST ask for the stock wheels and tires and other stock suspension pieces they removed when installing the lift. JUST IN CASE, you decide to put it back stock later. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Would definitely pass. Buy a stock truck and put better parts on it for less $ than they are charging. The 20" wheels and cradle drop lift suck IMO.
    ;)

It's a scam when dealer puts aftermarket wheels and tire on new trucks. They get a discount on the wheels and tires then mark it up 20% over retail to you. Plus you pay for everything on the sticker plus the aftermarket stuff but they won't give you the factory wheels and tires that you also paid for. Also they will turn around and sell the factory wheels and tires and make even more money off of the truck.

Overpriced and looks too "mall rated" for my tastes.

This. Lose the 20" wheels, get a higher quality 3" lift, save a ton of money. All while having the satisfaction of designing and learning about your own truck.
