Tell me more!!! My last truck the buzzer was part of a pc board and couldn't be pulled. Had to drill a hole in it to make it stop working but still complete the circuit. My dealer won't disable it. Is it just this easy?

And yes I know I should wear my seat belt, shouldn't run with scissors, don't swim until 30 minutes after lunch, should wear sunscrean, clean underpants in case im in an accident, etc. etc. etc.

When out on the ranch I stop and go and stop and go checking water and feeding.

I tried to go the extender route after the dealer wanted to charge me an hour of labor to shut it off in the computer. The extender might be free, but my dealer wanted me to fill out some form and give a copy of the ID of the person that would be using it, because they said they knew it wasnt for me. I'm only 5'10" 170ish pounds. I would like to find a wrecked one in a junk yard and just cut the buckle off.
Dang, sucked into a thread revival...

maine truck rack, huskyliners, bhlm, marathon seat covers, camo ventvisors, k&n filter, lift and tires coming soon to a Tacoma near me
if you take a small screwdriver and pop the black thing off under the latch, it slides off and theres a small spring in there. take out the small spring and your done. I did it on my drivers side, but left the pass. side hooked up. on some tundras if you undid the pass. side it would disable the air bag on that side, prob the same on tacos. I am NOT responsible for you doing this, its just something I learned on another forum.

    Unbolt the drivers seat,

    DO NOT unplug anything,

Tilt seat a little towards you and unbolt the drivers side buckle assembly, it will have a little free play in it's wiring,

Once removed you can work with the buckle as you ease the seat back down to its original location,

Now look for the whole on the backside of the buckle assembly, insert small tool here and the black inner workings of the buckle will slide out the back,
remove the little spring you see there, which can be done carefully w/out taking it all apart.

Reassemble and bolt buckle back up, bolt seat back down,

Insert seat belt buckle one time and the switch is permanently down,

    If pics needed,

Thanks for the write-up. I'll try that if this one doesn't work http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...-seat-belt-alarm-2013-factory-method-diy.html
I already have the elm mentioned so I might as well try it.

When I get my new 2015 AC, I'll take pics of the drivers side procedure.
