Need some HELP - 1st gen bed replacement

So I have a 96 Tacoma with a rusted bed. Bolts attach from underneath. I believe there are 6 bolts. Three or four are completely rusted through and the bed obviously is loose.

First question - does anyone have a schematic of the bed bolt pattern layout? Since these beds are virtually impossible to find in the Northeast corridor, is fabrication a possibility? Other than the mounts and floor, the bed is in good shape. I'm sure something could be fabricated....or maybe I'm delusional....

Anyway, input, photos, help would be greatly appreciated....I have a guy who wants to work on it for free with 30 plus years of welding experience. Just trying to get some assistance from anyone who has been down this road.

 

Take bed off flip upside down on horses,have fabricator cut and weld in new mounts.Very doable.

 

OK, that's what I'm thinking.

Problem isn't so much the frame mounts. More concerned about bed nuts that are gone....can i buy these somewhere?

they are nothing crazy,can be aquired at fastenal,i may hay a set in my garage from 84 i took bed off of.get some pics.Is this ur daily driver?

 

No, its not a daily driver.

 

So here is my bed. Is there any way to buy bed bottom somewhere? My could cut out rust and weld in patches....has anyone tried this before?

Hey. Looks like the bed guy in vineland is legit. Question. Appears like it is a sr5 bed v6. Will this fit a 96 reg cab? How can I verify?

why the concern about year? 1st gen 98-04 are the same
