Alright everybody, just another thread about tires and rubbing, but looking for some clarification, 285/65r18 on 18x9 wheels with 4.5 inches of backspacing, 3 inch lift and rubbing? This is the setup I have decided to go with and can't find anybody that has posted results with this setup to go by. Seen a couple threads talking about it, but haven't seen anybody post the results. So if anybody can help me out with it I'd appreciate it!

What tires are you going with? What lift? I have just under 3 inches with 16x9 and 4.53 bs wheels and 285/75/16 duratracs...which depending on the tire will probably be damn near the same. I had quite a bit of rubbing. Trimmed a good amount off the front bumper and splash guard, then a little bit off the fender where the front mudflap was. That was just to get around town without ever rubbing...if you plan to wheel it hard you are going to have to cut a lot more.

I have 1.75'' of lift, 285/60/18 with 18x10 wheels, -24 offset. With the offset, I had to cut quite a bit, but now only rub if full lock in reverse.

That's the same backspacing and an inch wider wheel though. Hopefully without the extra inch sticking out, and the extra inch of lift I wouldn't have to trim much at all.
