This thread has dropped to pictures of a truck and fishing.

Looks like everyone who payed for magic didn't even get a Harry Potter wand.

Glad I didn't fall for the hype. Not one solid documented MPH etc increase except some buttdyno results.

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Actually there has been folks documenting their fuel mileage increases. I had a nearly 2 MPG increase over 6 months. So go back and read...

I don't believe in magic. Just believe in physic and the concept and basics behind this piece are logical and scientific (fluid mechanics and flow profile).

People that expect miracles from this parts have a problem. But be serious, you dont need extraordinary results to justify a 40$ investment. Less expensive than a set of stickers! What are your alternatives? Something like a MAF controller taht is more powerfull and flexible at 249$ but you will need to install it and splice some cables, need scangauge and some basic knowledge to tune it.

It would be intersting to see datalogs of the trims in closed loop and AFR logs of the open loop part.

One can never have too many light bars.
Is there any dyno results from any naturally aspirated V6 engines? Preferably from something available in the US market for comparison? The only dyno results I've seen are from the indonesian turbo diesel and a turbocharged H-4 STI. The closest thing that's remotely comparable is the H4 in the BRZ which is still far from a Tacoma motor.

I feel that increased MPG results are skewed because most people got these during the winter (colder Temps, winter fuel) and slowly saw a gain in MPG. Which coinsided with Temps warming and gas changing.

I am still averaging .5 to 1.0 mpg better then before I installed it. Just haven't been posting my logs. Didn't want to bore everyone with them .

Been tracking my mpg since I bought truck new in Oct 2013. Before eco block mpg ranged from 23.32 to 24.5. Since installing the eco block in March I am averaging 25.3mpg. Worst mpg was 24.28. Best 26.58mpg.

This is exactly what I'm saying..starts getting cold in October. Winter fuel starts coming out shortly after that...then it starts to warm in march and fuel blend changes. So you're actually supporting my theory. Yes even in Florida. Weather changes and fuel blend changes

I have an eco block. I see no change over my normal seasonal changes. I'm getting just under 17 combined now. I've always got that I'm the summer.

I don't have a dog in this fight since my new truck lacks an ignition system so have fun. My increase was 1-2 MPG...driving cross country...winter, spring...it consistently stayed above what I had logged the previous year. So don't buy it if you are convinced. I was glad I took a shot on a 40 dollar part with a 1 year return policy from a reputable shop.

Sorry missed typed got truck in Oct 2013. Edited my last post. I have had the truck for over a year with out the eco block. Never got 25mpg no matter what time of year. Summer or winter. Now I am getting consistently over 25. Last spring and summer best mpg was 24.5.

My truck is not lifted and only added weight curt hitch, step bars and extant 2.0 tonneau. Just added the hard fold tonneau 3 weeks ago.

I'm not sure how to read the data over 10 years but when ever I hear someone claim their mpg was somehow constant over some period of time and then a new thing changed things by 1-2 mpg or .5-1 mpg I question their results without seeing some data. The biggest difference I can attribute to the variations I see in the graph of my mpg is E0 before 2008 and [IMG] new tires in 2009. Yet mpg is all over the place largely driven by time of year and temperature.

I can't be the only one with swings like this?

I was waiting to post results because I was very skeptical of this product but here it is: I had an increase of about .5 mpg with the Ecoblock on stock intake. I didn't think that was enough of a gain to post because it could have been other variables that contributed to that.
I installed a Volant intake without the Ecoblock and got the exact same milage so I didn't think of even reinstalling it. One of the local guys here said he had a gain of about 2 mpg with the EB installed on his aftermarket intake so I figured give it a try. I installed the EB on the Volant and got the best milage I ever did, this is including when the truck was stock. So, I'm currently running 285's and got 17.7 mpg with my 6-speed. It's hard to get that milage on a stock 6-speed, at least I never did. I was averaging 16.1 mpg before the Volant and EB.
I'll post up the milage from my next tank also.

Thats very interesting, I installed my ecoblock and haven't noticed a difference in mpg yet but at about the same time I got mid travel which lifted the truck a little so I wasn't quite sure if it was working or not. I have a stock intake with a TRD exhaust so maybe i should now look into getting an intake. Do you like your volant intake?

I actually would have never bought an intake but I came across a really good deal for one and figured why not bling out my engine bay. The real reason I was going to get one in the future was so I could move the air inlet from the fender easier when I move up to 35's and take out the fender liners. I like the intake but it was merely just for looks. I honestly was not going to use the EB anymore because I didn't see big enough mpg gains in the begining.

For all I know this combination might not work in your truck. So don't buy it because of me. I just tried installing it because another local member mentioned that his Ultra Guage was showing a 2 mpg increase installed on his aftermarket intake. I'm pretty stoked because my truck could never get better than 17.1 mpg and that was when it was stock, the way it came from the dealership. I averaged about 16.5 mpg stock.

Did you happen to notice your AFR with the block combined with the intake? Not too lean I hope. I have the volant but was worried about the combination of the intake and block making things too lean. Right now I average 15 city and almost 18 highway with just the intake. I need to get some dial calipers and check the volant diameter compared to the stock intake and see what the difference is.

Has anyone installed an eco-block and does a majority of driving at high elevation? I am in the Tahoe area (6,250 elevation) about 3-4 months out of the year and I'm worried that the thin air combined with the MAF spacer could make the motor run too lean.

On one of the website pages there is the cavet, "For Off Road Use Only". Wonder what the implications of that.

To be honest, I have no way of knowing the AFR. But my truck doesn't "tick", doesn't ping, or any of that crap that a lot of people grumble about. I highly doubt there's anything bad going on in there and will take my chances. lol. In fact, I would think that it has to be running pretty efficient right now. I read that the Volant runs pretty rich so maybe everythings fine and dandy in there. My truck rarely if not ever gets ran at WOT anyway. I also would think that if it were too lean the ECU would compenstate and would not be getting any better milage if not worse.

If you have doubts then I wouldn't install it if I were you.
