The other day I didn't pay close enough attention at a stop light. I was looking to my left and in the corner of my eye saw the cars in front of me move. I assumed the light turned green and started rolling. But didn't realize I was going faster than the Jeep in front of me.
Anyhow, I hit him, ever so slightly.
Now, my passenger side light and grill hit a square metal piece that comes out from the tire carrier of the Jeep.

So, here is what I found.

It appears as if the mounting points on the top, as well as to the grill broke.

My question is, what can I do that doesn't involve replacing the entire thing.
Please know, I've never worked on lights.

I'm assuming you're not turning this into your insurance?
Sometimes these small fender benders, you'll be amazed at the damage they'll cause, and can cause damage further than what you initially thought or expected.. Another thing parts are so expensive etc, you can rack up quite a bill over something like this. Not saying this is that case tho.

How does all the gaps at ajoining panels look, like where the bumper shell meets the fenders etc? Have anymore pics?

That being said, if all that happened was it broke what is seen in the pictures you posted, your best bet will be to just replace them IMO. I know you mentioned not replacing.. If you've never done plastic repair, you may or maynot be happy with your outcome. You do need to know what you're doing because there is a proper way, it can be a pain at times even for someone who does know what they're doing. Not to mention getting it to where you won't notice it when you pop the hood, you'll have a lot of time in it.
I'd say remove and replace. Other wise known as R&R.

You're correct, I'm not turning this into my insurance. $500 deductible I can spend on fixing it myself, and if the new headlights are all that I need, I saved $400.
I am not seeing any other damage, other than that. It was merely a bump, here is the damage to the light and grill.

It appears that the 1" square metal part sticking out from the Jeep's tire carrier hit perfectly between the grill and light, which in return busted my light assembly mounting points. The fender/bumper joint looks fine, due to the fact that the contact point wasn't on the bumper.

I'm content with replacing the headlight units, however, the question remains if the eBay ones linked above fit my 05?
