    Tacoma World,

I plan on taking a hair dryer to my decal on my tailgate, strip it off with a string like floss or something like that, plasti-dipping it, then putting it back on the tailgate, but how exactly do I put it back on?

They aren't decals you are talking about they are badges. This was asked the other day, and I have the same answer 3M auto molding double sided tape. You can get it at pep boys or auto zone... or probably most auto stores.

Thanks guys. Don't plan on destroying it just melting the adhesive to plasti-dip it.

dont remove them to plastic dip them. Make a square box of tape leaving about 1-2 inches around the emblem. Mask off all the paint around so no overspray. Them plastic dip the emblem and paint itself. Do a few coats then just peel off the plasti dip off the paint. It will cut around the emblems and leave you with the look you want. You tube it its very easy.

Ive done it hundreds of times. If you get overspray its no biggie just rub off with a towel or they sell a spray that takes it right off.
