8" lift donahoe racing coilovers total chaos control arms, tuff country 4" lift
I have a 2005 Tundra I bought new in 2004. Have about 60K miles on it. 2.5 inch Donahoe Racing Coil overs, Total Chaos upper control arms, 4 inch tuff country lift and 35"x 20" x 12.5 Toyos on it.

Not exactly sure what my total lift is, but it should be close to 8".

Still rides nice, crappy MPG though, 8 in town, 13 on the freeway only if I make sure and keep it under 65 mph. Have a TV in it, reverse cam, Sirius radio....

I have noticed that towing small stuff goes unnoticed, but if I tow something really heavy I have to have my foot into it.

Have not really had any issues with it, most of my problems have been with all the aftermarket lift parts. Then again I just have 60k miles on it.

I have considered buying a quad cab Tacoma but the problem is that I would have less room in the cab and tiny bed, Way less power, and almost the same crappy MPG.. so, I just will probably keep this for now

Look under the bed liner, my 2004 was in great shape, the frame was perfect and didn't need to be replaced but the bed was rusted through in several places!

    99 Tacoma under construction
I have an 03 that I bought about 7 years ago. I love it and would buy another 1st gen in a heartbeat. I also have a 99 Tacoma that I'm currently building but for me the nod goes to the Tundra mainly for power and towing capacity. I've got Billy's all around, Wheelers AAL's, long tube headers and true duals, urethane bushings everywhere, 285's, and a bunch of other stuff. Very capable truck and good in the woods. If this one ever shits the bed I'll find another.

I'm currently driving a 2000 Tundra V6/5sp MT. Bought it new 17 years ago. Been very reliable. Nothing more off road than fire roads on the way to trails to ride. Been at 17-18 mpg most of its life. 188K on the clock, finally ready for a new ride though.

I'm looking at a 2004 SR5 Crew Cab 4X4 that has about 187K miles. It had timing belt, water pump and tires done at 143K. He sent me a bunch of pictures which all turned out pretty good.

He's asking 9K for it, I offered 7K. Seem fair? Anything else I should look out for? I can post the pictures that he sent if I get a reply. Thank in advance.

7 seems about right. That's about all he would get on a trade in depending on condition.

Was it in an accident? I see a new left LCA and the steering rack.

Mine had a newer LCA too, replaced due to the adjusters being seized.
