I'm new to TacomaWorld and recently bought my first Tacoma. A 2015 TRD Offroad which I have about 3100 miles on now. I loaded up around 500lbs of lumber in the bed of the truck today. The driver side rear leaf spring looks fine but the passenger side is bent. Bottom leaf spring is bent down and has about a 1/2inc gap at ends from spring above. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue?

    Load
    4 sheets of 7/16 plywood.
    6 2x4's
    8 2x6's

That sounds abnormal. I also have a 2015 w/ a bit less than 4000 miles on it. So far, I have hauled 300 1x2s in one load, 180 2x2s w/ a dozen 2x4s in another load, and then 30 bags of mulch in another load. The bags of mulch all had some moisture, and we figured they weighted between 35 adn 45 lbs each. That's a bit over the max recommend load (~1250 pounds I figured... no including my own weight). I drove that load for about 40 miles. No issues. The truck did its job.

Yeah sounds like a visit to Toyota is in order. :(

I've got over 4,800 miles on mine. Have never done 500lbs in the bed yet - though I've hauled several boxes of supplies for work. Never gotten it to squat yet.

Wait... has it stayed bent after you unloaded it? Or is it just while loaded?

I will be taking it to the dealer for it's 5000 mile service soon and will let them look at it. It is the overload spring, but it's now curved down. The spring above it is slightly wavy now as well. Yes it stayed curved after it was unloaded and is leaning down to passenger side of the bed. I had already talked to the dealership once about one of the plastic ends on the leaf spring holder out of place causing a popping sound. I'm thinking that it may have been strapped down wrong or to tight in shipping. I will take a picture and upload soon. Thanks for the responses.

Were it me I'd make a special trip to have this fixed. Not just at the 5,000 mile service. If that sucker snaps or comes loose you'll wish you'd taken it in.

If a leaf is bent then the truck would have a serious lean when empty. TaKe it to the dealer and have it replaced under warranty.
