Hello TacomaWorld, I am looking for a set of new tires. I have chosen the Hankook Dynapro ATM
but I do not know weather to go with a 30/9.5/15 or a 31/10.5/15 tire.

My truck is a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 4cly reg cab with 3.91 gears. The truck came stock with 225/75/15 tires.

Will getting a 31/10.5/15 rob me of significant power or mpg vs the 30/9.5/15?????

    Thanks for your input,
    Charlie

Were talking about 1" here so you shouldnt see any significant changes over the 30" tire no. If you jumped from the stock 225/75/15 (28/9/15") then it would be more noticable for sure.

I have an Ext cab 2.7 w 31x1050 and it gets about 20mpg. Sometimes a little more but it usually right at 20. Power around town feels good, I just notice a different when going up some of the steeper hills we have here on the interstate.

Update: I ended up purchasing the 30/9.5/15 Hankook Dynapros. So far they are great on the road and good in the mud. I would highly recommend these to anyone with a tacoma.

Thanks, for the info. I just got me some 265-70/16 dynapros atm rf10. If anyone is shopping for these they come in two versions. one with 6ply sidewall not recommended for long distance towing or 8ply sidewall. Price difference was to much. I got my set installed for 590 with taxes. If I would have gone with 8ply it would have ran me almost 900 dollars. Had real knowledgeable tire guy.
